London
I am a Senior HR Recruitment Consultant in Macmillan Davies’ London office, specialising in recruiting for a range of junior to senior HR roles across retail, tech, FinTech, pharmaceutical and financial services in London and the South. I look to partner with my clients and offer a consultative approach to recruitment, with a focus on always finding the best person for the job.
Having focussed on HR recruitment for over five years, I have built up a strong understanding of what good looks like. My network of HR candidates and clients means I have access to some brilliant HR professionals meaning I can quickly identify opportunities for those job searching and have the conviction to advise and guide clients when they come to hire. I have delivered several excellent HR candidates to many happy clients.
The most important thing when working with both clients and candidates is mutual trust. I build trust through an honest approach, marketing insight and always providing a high quality service. I want them to feel justified in their decision in choosing me as a hiring partner.
Quick fire questions…
What is something people in recruitment have to deal with that you want to fix?
I would love for candidates to not have to go through long and drawn out hiring processes. This happens less than it used to, but it often leads to the candidate taking an opportunity with a firm that acted faster!
What do you think is the key to professional success?
Learn from mistakes and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
What are the values that drive you?
Teamwork and collaboration are right up there for me. I have always been someone that wants to contribute to the collective effort, and I expect that back.
Fortunately, we have that in abundance at Macmillan Davies, so it makes things a lot easier! I want people to always have the confidence to ask questions in a bid to improving themselves and expect the working environment to reflect that value.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
I’d rather ask a stupid question than do a stupid thing.
What is your hidden talent?
I can bend my thumb back to a 90-degree angle, it’s quite useful for snooker (but I’m still rubbish)!
