Sophie Atkinson - Senior Consultant

I am a Senior Recruitment Consultant in the Interim Recruitment team at Macmillan Davies, looking after interim, temporary and fixed term contracts. I specialise in recruiting across all levels within the HR sector on an interim basis. I take pride in supporting both clients and candidates throughout the whole recruitment journey and want to build long lasting partnerships. I offer CV support, interview preparation, payroll solutions, advice, encouragement and more to make sure the journey into looking for work is successful.

I am a great listener and offer a bespoke service to meet the specific needs of my clients and candidates. I build strong relationship by finding out what the most important things are to the client and understanding exactly what they need to achieve and help support them with that process. Understanding the challenges but also the end goal allows me to focus correctly and really take the pressure off their workload.

I have nearly 8 years’ experience supporting companies across the UK with interim hires. This has enabled me to work quickly to find the right solutions for both parties. I have covered a range of different sectors allowing me to bring those skills together to understand different businesses structures and needs.

What are the values that drive you?

Honesty, empathy, respect and dedication I would say are my top values I implement across my work and home life. Of course, motivators and values can change both personally and professional, but I feel with these values in my approach to allows me to build high-trusted relationships.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

The best piece of advice I've ever been given is to have courage and be kind.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

My superpower would have to be Time Travelling. The idea of visiting passed loved ones, revisit memorable moments and of course to visit the 60s!
