It’s time to talk about the menopause
Macmillan Davies webinar series

Macmillan Davies are delighted to invite you to our webinar in association with Shoosmiths LLP titled 'It’s time to talk about the menopause'
Menopause is rarely a topic of open discussion in the workplace but is that now changing?
Recent research shows that almost a million women in the UK have left jobs as a result of menopausal symptoms. With menopause mainly affecting those in their late 40s and early 50s, this leads to women eligible for senior management roles leaving work at the peak of their career, with knock-on effects on workplace productivity, the gender pay-gap and the gender pension gap.
The House of Commons Women and Equalities Committee has launched a new inquiry to examine existing legislation and workplace practices, and asking if enough is being done to address the issue.
This hour long session will touch on the key areas in order to encourage a change of mind set so that menopause is very much on the agenda when it comes to open discussion in the workplace.
Emma Morgan (Partner) and Lauren Bholé (Associate) from Shoosmiths will provide a presentation on the topic followed by discussion and questions. The agenda will cover:
• Why talking about menopause matters
• Discrimination and menopause
• Supporting women to excel in their careers through and post menopause
• Does the business need a menopause policy?
• Top tips and getting it right
