AI Got Faster. Your Workforce Didn’t: Redesigning work, mobility and HR leadership, and the legal realities for 2030
Macmillan Davies takes great pleasure in inviting you to our next event:
AI Got Faster. Your Workforce Didn't
Redesigning work, mobility and HR leadership, and the legal realities for 2030
Date: Friday 24 July
Time: 08:30 – 10:30 AM
Location: Addleshaw Goddard, One St Peter’s Square, Manchester M2 3DE
By 2030, millions of jobs will be transformed, new roles will emerge, and almost 40% of today’s core skills will change. The challenge for organisations is not technology itself, but how quickly they can redesign work, redeploy talent and develop leaders to keep pace.
Join us for a candid discussion for HR leaders as we explore three key questions shaping the future of work:
• If AI is making work faster, why isn’t productivity improving?
• Is upskilling driving internal mobility, or increasing attrition risk?
• Are people leaders the greatest barrier to workforce transformation?
This roundtable will examine HR’s role in moving beyond learning programmes and AI pilots to address the bigger challenge: reinventing work, careers and leadership for the 2030 workforce. The organisations that succeed in 2030 will not simply have the best AI, they will have the workforce most prepared to adapt.
Speakers
Allan Mole will share PXC’s experience of navigating workforce transformation, where AI, skills and leadership are reshaping how work gets done. Drawing on practical examples, he will discuss why productivity depends on redesigning work, not just developing skills, how learning without clear career pathways can become a retention risk, and why people leaders are often the deciding factor in successful change.
Lucy Pickering will provide insight into the legal realities of workforce transformation, including role redesign, changes to terms and conditions, redundancy considerations and discrimination risks in an evolving environment.
