Job Description

Macmillan Davies is partnering with a fast-growing VC-backed business to hire a
Talent / People Operations Lead.

This is a standout opportunity to take ownership of company-wide hiring and
people operations goals in a dynamic, scaling environment. The role offers the
chance to directly influence how a high-growth business attracts, hires, and
develops top talent, while gaining rapid exposure to senior leadership and
cross-functional projects.

Location: Hybrid, based in San Francisco
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 + benefits

The Role

This hybrid position combines hands-on recruitment with broader people
operations and culture-building responsibilities. You'll help shape the
company's hiring strategy, optimise processes for scale, and create an engaging,
high-performance employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment

* Lead end-to-end hiring across technical and non-technical roles

* Draft, post, and promote job descriptions that attract top talent

* Source candidates through strategic networks, communities, and direct
outreach

* Partner with external recruiters to extend reach and add leverage

* Manage screening, interviewing, and offer processes while ensuring a
high-touch candidate experience

* Continuously improve talent acquisition processes, tools, and reporting

People Operations

* Own the onboarding experience to ensure smooth transitions for new hires

* Act as a trusted contact for employee queries related to policies, benefits,
and operations

* Build scalable frameworks for performance, feedback, and development
conversations

Projects & Culture

* Lead ad hoc people and operations projects (e.g., offsite planning,
compliance, or immigration processes)

* Organise engaging team events and cultural initiatives

* Oversee office logistics to maintain a collaborative, well-functioning
workspace

About You

* Experienced in recruitment within a high-growth or fast-paced environment

* Confident managing multiple priorities with a proactive, problem-solving
mindset

* Passionate about creating outstanding candidate and employee experiences

* Strong organisational skills and comfort with ambiguity as the business
continues to scale
