The Opportunity

A small central government organisation is recruiting for an Interim HR Officer for 2-3 months to cover whilst they recruit permanently. Reporting to the HR Business Partner you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the HR function including co-ordinating recruitment activity; delivery of day to day HR operations; updating HR System; and providing HR related management information.

The Detail

Reporting to the HR Business Partner you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the HR function including co-ordinating recruitment activity; delivery of day to day HR operations; updating HR System; and providing HR related management information. The main accountabilities will include activities such as:
*To provide day to day advice and support to managers and staff on terms and conditions of employment and policies and procedures.
*To provide guidance and support to managers through the recruitment and selection process.
*To produce monthly payroll reports from the HRIS
*To ensure the HRIS is up to date and accurate
*Produce monthly and ad-hoc management information reports and organisation charts
*To ensure compliance with UK Visas & Immigration regulations for recruitment and related record keeping.
*Support the starters, leavers and onboarding processes

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have worked in a HR Advisor/HR Officer capacity and be CIPD Level 5 qualified. You must also have:
*Strong UK employment law knowledge
*A proven ability to exercise judgement, as well as form strong stakeholder relationships at all levels and organise your workload whilst maintaining attention to detail is essential.
*You will have had to coordinate a significant recruitment workload whilst supporting other responsibilities such as payroll.
*Have an up to date knowledge of employment law and experience of working with and analysing statistical data.
