The client was looking for a board level and credible HR Director from a service-led environment who could adapt quickly and easily into their unique culture. The ideal candidate had to be able to influence at a senior level but also work closely with the operations employees to understand the business and provide strategic direction. After a targeted search and advertised selection, the successful candidate was offered and accepted the position within 12 weeks of initial discussions.
The client was a large blue chip manufacturing organisation and needed to appoint a number of Interim HR Project Managers to focus on job evaluation and succession planning. Due to the complexity of the organisation, the successful candidates ideally needed project management experience, a project management qualification such as Prince 2 and some HAY job evaluation experience. We managed to recruit all three roles within a three week period.
Interim Director of HR & OD, Charity, £800 per day, Central London
Our brief was to find a professional interim to work closely with the CEO to cover maternity leave for 12 months. The key focus of the role was on providing strategic leadership whilst delivering on key OD projects. And the essentials included a mixed sector background with a great variety of experience and a commercial approach.
Interim Head of Reward and Systems, Global Trading Business, £90,000, Docklands
Finding a professional interim with knowledge of both reward and systems was just the beginning of the challenge. We also had to deliver someone with the leadership skills, drive and depth of expertise to excel in a pressurised environment in which a small number of people deliver a very large profit.
We found just such a candidate. A candidate who could drive the reward strategy, lead and support a team, manage a systems integration project and handle operational matters when necessary. The secret was matching both skill-set and cultural fit.
Interim HR Manager, Media, £60,000, four-month contract, West London
The client needed a strong generalist to manage a demanding client group and to support the on-boarding and integration of a new MD to the business. The company was going through some major change, so as well as managing the main operational day-to-day functions of the role, they also needed someone who had a huge amount of experience in M&A and talent planning. As the role was reporting directly to the Global HRD in NYC, they also required someone who had the strength to manage relationships remotely.
The successful candidate had a very diverse background with international and UK experience at senior management level.

A UK-based global engineering and manufacturing company with sites across Europe, our client briefed a three-six months’ interim assignment with an immediate start. We delivered a French-speaking HR Consultant specialising in French Employment Law to lead and advise on a complicated restructure of the business across France and the closure of an office in Paris.

An international commodities trader with the global head office in London were looking for an interim HRBP for a European-based role. In this three-six month role, the HRBP reviewed the office functions in Paris and supported the current workforce, all whilst implementing organisational and procedural change initiatives.
Interim Associate Director of HR, £80,000, fixed-term contract
We provided an Interim Director for nine months’ maternity cover for this global bio-pharmaceutical business with its European headquarters in Switzerland. The client needed a Swiss-based HR professional who could work across Europe and support a major restructuring programme while travelling to London.
The Global HR Director of a worldwide SME telecoms business based in Luxembourg required an experienced Reward professional to assist with the preparations to present the annual structure for Compensation & HR Budget to the Board. The initial assignment was for one month but was extended to a total of nine months.
Policy Specialist, $60,000-$66,000 per annum + relocation package, Doha
A prominent oil and gas supplier based in Doha needed a Policy Specialist to work within their growing HR team. With production doubling and huge investment from its shareholders, the company was undergoing a huge process of change and growth. They needed someone to focus on the policy development of HR procedures and people management across the company. We provided an excellent generalist from a similar industry who was looking for a career and cultural change. They were fluent in English, degree qualified and confident working with a culturally diverse environment. Now they work closely with the HR Manager and wider HR team developing strong internal and external networks and strong working relations to influence across all levels.
Development Specialist, $60,000-$66,000 per annum + relocation package, Doha
A growing gas provider located in Qatar recruited a Development Specialist to join their multinational HR team. With ambitions to become one of the world’s foremost suppliers, they were looking for someone to spearhead their graduate and ‘Qatarisation’ plans. We successfully sourced a Development Manager from a Top 10 UK construction company. They had graduate development experience which included job rotation programmes, a strong background in L&D, plus the ability to work across all levels of the company. We managed the process including organising on-site interviews, and liaised with the client throughout the emigration process.
Interim Head of Compensation and Benefits, Online Gaming, £500 per day, three-month contract
This FTSE 250 gaming business needed an experienced Compensation and Benefits (C&B) specialist to cover whilst the incumbent was seconded to an internal project. The timing was crucial as they needed to also implement a new executive and company-wide share option scheme.
The successful candidate had worked in Reward and C&B throughout their career and was well placed to guide them through some tight timeframes.
European Director of Recruitment, €100,000, Barcelona
A mid-cap, international business services firm in growth mode, the key criteria for this assignment was identifying someone who could design and deliver a blended resourcing strategy to allow the business to grow to aggressive timescales. We sourced the market across Europe to make sure we found the very best talent.
This client had an urgent need for a highly experienced HR IT systems specialist to help drive through the regional aspects of a global systems change project. We quickly found that the challenge was that there was no local market for that skill-set. We identified suitable candidates outside Dubai who would be looking to move to the region and successfully relocated the right candidate.
