Director of HR, Retail, £95,000, Lancashire
The client was looking for a board level and credible HR Director from a service-led environment who could adapt quickly and easily into their unique culture. The ideal candidate had to be able to influence at a senior level but also work closely with the operations employees to understand the business and provide strategic direction. After a targeted search and advertised selection, the successful candidate was offered and accepted the position within 12 weeks of initial discussions.
3 x Interim Project Managers, Manufacturing, £60,000 – £90,000, 6-12 month contract, Lancashire
The client was a large blue chip manufacturing organisation and needed to appoint a number of Interim HR Project Managers to focus on job evaluation and succession planning. Due to the complexity of the organisation, the successful candidates ideally needed project management experience, a project management qualification such as Prince 2 and some HAY job evaluation experience. We managed to recruit all three roles within a three week period.
Interim Director of HR & OD, Charity, £800 per day, Central London
Our brief was to find a professional interim to work closely with the CEO to cover maternity leave for 12 months. The key focus of the role was on providing strategic leadership whilst delivering on key OD projects. And the essentials included a mixed sector background with a great variety of experience and a commercial approach.
Interim Head of Reward and Systems, Global Trading Business, £90,000, Docklands
Finding a professional interim with knowledge of both reward and systems was just the beginning of the challenge. We also had to deliver someone with the leadership skills, drive and depth of expertise to excel in a pressurised environment in which a small number of people deliver a very large profit.
We found just such a candidate. A candidate who could drive the reward strategy, lead and support a team, manage a systems integration project and handle operational matters when necessary. The secret was matching both skill-set and cultural fit.
Interim HR Manager, Media, £60,000, four-month contract, West London
The client needed a strong generalist to manage a demanding client group and to support the on-boarding and integration of a new MD to the business. The company was going through some major change, so as well as managing the main operational day-to-day functions of the role, they also needed someone who had a huge amount of experience in M&A and talent planning. As the role was reporting directly to the Global HRD in NYC, they also required someone who had the strength to manage relationships remotely.
The successful candidate had a very diverse background with international and UK experience at senior management level.
